Long Island Sound has many dramatic rock formations along the shoreline in Southold town. This piece was painted En Plein Aire, which means painting outdoors to capture the natural light. As I painted this scene at the end of Rocky Point Rd in East Marion, a little sailboat appeared on the horizon. Perfect timing! This print will be a wonderful compliment to your coastal decor in the entryway, master bedroom or anywhere you need a restful watercolor piece.
