Gather your own watercolor supplies and join me online!

Join me and paint along! We will use my “Purple Finch” art as inspirtaion. I love to watch the birds at my feeder here in Connecticut. The finch is a frequent visitor. We will sketch this sweet bird together, learn color mixing with me and we will create latyers to define the bird. Play with wet on wet techniques and capture details with wet on dry.

Grab your watercolor paints and supplies! Or what ever you are comfortable using.

Here’s my list of supply recommendations-

Watercolor palette and paints- You need at minimum a yellow, a red and blue the primary colors are a great foundation to work with. But don’t go crazy buying supplies!

Round watercolor brushes sizes 4,6,8,10 or whatever you have

paper towels

watercolor block or watercolor paper taped to a board recommended size approximately 5” x 7” or a watercolor sketchbook

pencil and eraser

small spray bottle of water or eyedropper

and a water jar
